The Companion Traveler web site

Client: The Companion Traveler

The Companion Traveler is a travel assistance company that needed their web site updated with new content and a more consistent and usable design. They also needed a way to track how users were getting to their web site.

Notes

To make the web site more usable, all of the code for the web site had to be rewritten from scratch. I recreated the design based off the original web site, but incorporated the practices of design and usability I have learned over the years. Some of the changes to the web site included organizing and simplifying the client’s content, highlighting the purpose of each page to the user, and making a consistent navigation menu. To solve the issue of user tracking, Google Analytics was set up for the web site to show comprehensive statistics of visitors.

Towards the end of the project, the company wanted me to make a slideshow from photographs taken on one of their trips. I used a Flash application to display a set of images that I hand-picked.
